Converted the TK health insurance company’s PowerPoint sales presentation from German to English. Delivered the sales presentation to international exchange students at universities across Southwest Germany

I have taught Business English at the B2 Level to students in the corporate communications, industrial engineering, automotive engineering, and business administration programs. I honed my delivery and teaching style under the guidance of experienced English department faculty members Dr. Eric Koenig, John Halton, M.Sc, and Bodo Mahnke, M.A.

At O'Connor I teach Business and Technical English at all levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. I also evaluate students and develop highly-customized curriculum material relevant to individual customers’ needs. This includes teaching specialized English skill sets to students across a broad range of industries and job titles, including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, engineering, marketing, HR, and executive management, just to name a few.

Translated work instructions, forms, and manuals, as well as the internal newsletter from German to English. Subcontracted work to other translators within my profession circle when appropriate to best meet LENSER’s language-to-language needs.

Worked on location at corporate campuses to improve the English-language fluency of key personnel. Taught Business and Technical English to augment the skillsets of company executives as well as job-seekers sent to Berlitz by the state unemployment office for professional retraining.

In addition to developing my own curriculum, I was also responsible for formulating, proctoring, correcting, and grading the final exams.

Wrote about a wide range of topics, from tech reviews to relationship advice. Interviewed a variety of personalities, including a stem cell biomedical researcher, internet sensation Maddox, and comedian Greg Proops of "Whose Line is it, Anyway?" renown.

I researched topics pertinent to upcoming votes and foreign delegations, wrote reports based upon my research, and presented these to the committee chairwoman, Frau Bulling-Schroeter

Edited/proof-read/rewrote the Centre for Renewable Energy’s English-language website. Worked as advisor to Dr. Adler for website design, graphics, pamphlets, and brochures.

Opened accounts on Yelp, Gowalla, Google Places, and Foursquare to boost the restaurant’s online presence. Increased guest interaction with the restaurant’s Facebook page by 1675%. Designed online promotions and coupons, as well as menus, brochures, and door hangers. Went door-to-door handing out flyers and asking for guest feedback. Scheduled musicians to perform, orchestrated promotional evenings, and started special relationships with local churches, businesses, and organizations.

Brought a male perspective to the University of Texas chapter of this online women's magazine. Interviewed college professors, local bands, and medical doctors. Revealed the prevalence of stimulant abuse on campus, shared my experience and explored the impetus behind a UT school shooting that occurred while I was on campus, and wrote about the growing influence of technology on modern life. Participated in magazine fundraising and publicity events.

Worked as a paid staff writer under editor Gary Ellison, covering campus events and researching stories important to the McMurry University campus body.

Used ArcGIS, a mapping and spatial analysis computer program, to map impact craters on the surface of Mars using new, high-resolution satellite imagery. Did English-language editing, website design, and consultation for a group of graphic artists at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
