-­‐ Researched recycling processes to reduce water, soil and climate impacts of coffee pulp and ways how Swiss cooperation could promote these in the Colombian context; -­‐ Organised an international symposium and exhibition on the major Swiss infrastructure project (NEAT), for 500 participants including the Colombian Ministers for Infrastructure and the Environment, as well as three Swiss Experts; supervised an external media agency, media and communication work including writing of media communiqués

 Researching the impact of mining activities and monocultures on the environment and the local population. Organizing information campaigns. Training an afrocolombian youth organization on how to make documentary films and advising them on their communication strategy. Assisting the HEKS team in monitoring and implementing its country program: conflict transformation and rural development in Chocó and Tibu.

Teaching German two hours a week, improving grammar, writing and communication skills of students to prepare them for the “Zertifikat Deutsch”.

Application of the Swiss Asylum-procedures; conducting interviews with asylum-seekers.

Completion of the Environmental Law Programme; management of the E-learning courses including correction, examination and correspondence (in French and English) with programme participants; organising workshops, seminars and conferences (in French, Spanish and English); and preparing material for a new course on Human Rights and the environment.

Organisation of the annual conference, recruitment and selection of the 200 participants (500 applications received); organising advertising by establishing international contacts; setting up of a solidarity fund and allocating scholarships to participants; follow-up of the visa procedure and contacting Swiss consulates abroad; and offering customer-care services for the selected participants.

Visiting slums in the suburb of Buenos Aires; interviewing families about their living condition and assessing their degree of urgency; constructing simple houses together with other volunteers and the target family.
