Flight Safety Specialist Maintenance

As Flight Safety Specialist Maintenance I was responsible for the development and introduction of the Safety Management System for the Swiss Air Force maintenance personal. I defined the maintenance safety reporting and publication process, was part of the flight safety investigation process and training process team, held safety training for base commander and military leaders and acted as technical lead investigator for incidents and accidents
As the F-5 leading System Engineer I was responsible for the technical integrity of the Weapons System Tiger F-5E/F for the Swiss Air Force. I dealt with all aspects which are technically allocated to flight safety, system functionality and system performance. I analysed and coordinated complex system related errors and defects with the design engineering and the customer as well as acted as a project manager for different design changes.
To my duties as a fatigue engineer included the structural monitoring of the Tiger F-5E/F Fleet, such as evaluating and analysing flight parameters, Damage Tolerance Analysis of structural defects and Verification of life results with component and coupon tests (Crack Retardation Test).
