Research at the Cognitive Anthropology Department of the University of Florence.My work involved constructing experimental paradigms for the study of the semantic correlation of everyday objects. This study was inspired by a previous experiment (Holcomb, McPherson, Psychophysiology; 36, 1999 ) and aims to examine neurophysiological correlations through EEG techniques, observing the N400 and N300 of subjects exposed to visual stimuly.

I completed the proposal for the project for Columbia University, New York City, Italian Academy of Columbia, concerning cultural memory and entitled Method of transmission of a secular culture: Il Calcio Storico Fiorentino (14 Dec. 2004). The project I conceived and proposed was inspired by my interest in understanding cultural identity and the possible methods by which it is transmitted.

Clinical psychology I worked at the New Arrivals Office of the Casa Circondariale in Sollicciano prison in Florence, where I spoke with the newly arrived detainees in order to evaluate psychological issues correlated with the risk of suicide. New arrivals are usually interviewed by a psychologist within 24 hours.
