Mark O'Meara

Android and Java developer with experience on projects for major clients. Including developing core features for a major customer banking app, as well as taking leadership roles on smaller Android projects. Apps I've worked on have always been developed using modern libraries such as Retrofit and Dagger. I introduced the use of RxJava and MVP to the Deloitte Digital UK practice, and I ensure there's a strong emphasis on maintainability and testability (unit and UI) in any development I am responsible for.

Organizing for Action (OFA) is the successor of U.S. president Barack Obama's 2012 re-election campaign and of Organizing for America, which itself succeeded Obama's 2008 campaign. The group seeks to mobilise supporters in favour of Obama's legislative priorities.

Worked on a project in a very large recruitment organisation. Involved maintaining and improving their whole recruitment system. Technologies included Java, MVC, Spring, Struts. Other work included playing an important role in the development of project proposals for potential clients. I was also assigned the role of Deloitte Campus Ambassador for the following academic year. This involved representing Deloitte on my college campus, including promoting events and the Deloitte brand.

After receiving a 2nd Class 1st Division Honours degree in Computer Science, I chose to complete a 5th year to obtain a Masters in Computer Science. My dissertation for the Masters degree was entitled "Survey & Analysis of E-Voting Solutions".
