Development and maintenance of distributed in-flight entertainment (IFE) software components on board (aircraft) and on ground servers, using various technologies. Languages/frameworks used are mainly Python (Flask), PHP, Go, Javascript (Node.js) in the backend and React Native in the frontend.

Design of a web interface for studying and annotating items from the historical map collection that is part of the heritage of the Gotha based Perthes publishing house. Perthes was one of the leading publishers of maps/atlases and all sorts of geographic publications worldwide in the 19th century. The web app aimed to enable scientific work with digitized high-res map images from the Perthes collection, linking the maps with all kinds of related docs (e. g. cartographers' notes, expedition diaries).

Building software components for data processing, statistical analysis and visualization in a linguistic research project carried out by a consortium of 6 Northern German universities (Universities of Bielefeld, Frankfurt/Oder, Hamburg, Münster, Kiel, Potsdam), founded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
