In charge of the Continental Business System (CBS) in Chile. Directly reporting to the Plant Manager. Responsible for creating a "Lean Culture", implementing the corporate strategy and lean tools (gemba walk, 5S, Problem Solving A3, VSM, TPM, OEE). On my leadership we improved Mixer OEE from 78% to 89%, and achieved a total of 1.000 kEur of cost savings and with a forecast of 600 kEur for 2021 based on Engineering Projects, Process Optimization and Quality Improvements.

Purchases of raw materials (chemicals, fabrics, rubbers, accelerators, retardants, oxides, resins, carbon black and steel cables), finished products (belts, hoses and antennas), Martin line products, maintenance services (modifications, repairs and fabrications), personal protection elements, corporate clothing, packaging (wooden crates and pallets, lecterns and metal reels), metal inserts, steel profiles and fasteners, with suppliers from Chile, Brazil, Peru, United States, Germany, China and India.

Mercedes Benz “Quality Control” project: Quality control and assurance of the Pilon´s supplied by IMM/Say to Mercedes Benz through the conduction of weekly spot Audits, KPI, Pareto and shopfloor, VDA 6.3 in the factory in Turkey and warehouse in Germany. ThyssenKrupp “Quality Excellence” project: Lead Workshop group through quality tools such as, Brainstorming, 5Why´s, and Turtle Diagram. Report of prioritization of improvement pilot project´s based on root causes.

The project aimed to achieve "Excellence in Quality" in the final product, through the implementation of pilot projects for continuous improvement in the Supply Chain in Spain. As part of a team of 4 Senior and Executive Consultants from Germany and China, I was responsible for developing surveys, leading interviews with senior executives (Spanish and English), analyzing the data and preparing progress reports.

Leader of the logistics, purchasing and procurement for works, equipment, parts, chemicals, major and minor supplies for the Operation and Maintenance of the Plants of Antofagasta (USD 3M) and the Expansion Project of the Desalination Plant (USD 30M). Participation in negotiations with foreign suppliers from United States, Japan, and Spain. Creation of economic proposals for new projects (Radomiro Tomic, Codelco Desalination, Mitsubishi Industries).

Lead a team of 4 engineers and manage a project budge of USD 40M. Plan, control and monitoring all the activities of the bidding process. Elaborate the Specific Administrative Bases (Financial and administrative requirements) and present the progress of the Project to the board of Managers.

Implementation of workflow, procedures, instructions, and policies for the purchasing process. Categorization and management of spare parts for the Desalination Plant and the Construction Department. Design of the logistics network plan and the critical parts plan for the Desalination Plant. Deployment and implementation of Purchasing and Inventory software created by Oracle for the company. Continuous improvement and standardization of the logistic and contract processes.
