Von der Geburt bis zum Erwachsenendasein
Meinen Namen kennen Sie ja schon. Das Alter überspringen wir mal ganz elegant. Wichtig ist eigentlich, dass ich in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland als Kind italienischer Eltern geboren wurde. Das heißt: in Deutschland aufgewachsen, nur deutsche Schulen besucht (bis zum Abitur), anschließend eine abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung und letztendlich ein Jahr lang als Industriekauffrau tätig.

Meine Fremdsprachenausbildung
Schon als kleines Kind wurde meine „Begabung“ für Fremdsprachen klar. Obwohl wir zu Hause nur den abruzzesischen Dialekt sprachen, hatte ich überhaupt keine Mühe, vom Kindergarten an Deutsch zu lernen. In dieser Sprache habe ich es eigentlich sehr weit gebracht, wenn man bedenkt, dass ich 1986 den Scheffelpreis für ausgezeichnete Deutschkenntnisse erhalten habe.
Im Nachhinein kamen dann Englisch und Französisch dazu, und hier entwickelte sich eine richtige Leidenschaft für Fremdsprachen. Es ging soweit, dass ich auch Italienisch (das „Hochitalienisch“) selbst gelernt habe: mit einer deutsch-italienischen Grammatik unter dem Arm und ein mühevolles Verschlingen italienischer Bücher ist es mir sogar gelungen, in Italien BWL zu studieren.
Aber das war wohl eher ein Versehen, denn gleich darauf habe ich die Prüfung zum Übersetzer und Dolmetscher abgelegt.

Tja, und seither arbeite ich auf diesem Gebiet: als Übersetzerin angefangen, dann Deutsch-Konversations-, Deutsch- und Englischlehrerin…….. echt cool, oder?

Dalla nascita alla vita da adulta
Già conoscete il mio nome. Sorvoliamo elegantemente l’età. In fondo, ciò che è importante è che sono nata nella Repubblica Federale Tedesca da genitori italiani. In altre parole: cresciuta in Germania, ho frequentato solo scuole tedesche (fino alla maturità), successivamente un apprendistato completo; e per finire: impiegata per un anno come perito industriale.

I miei studi linguistici
Fin da quando ero bambina fù chiaro che sono „portata“ per le lingue straniere. Nonostante casa parlassimo solo il dialetto abruzzese, non ho avuto la minima difficoltà ad imparare il tedesco dai primi anni in asilo. A pensarci bene, ho fatto molta strada in questa lingua, considerando che nel 1986 ho ottenuto il premio letterario “Scheffelpreis” per eccellenti conoscenze della lingua tedesca.
Poi, una dopo l’altra, si sono aggiunte la lingua inglese e francese; e così è nata una vera e propria passione per le lingue straniere. Essa mi ha spinto al punto tale, che imparassi anche l’italiano per bene, autonomamente: con una grammatica tedesco-italiana alla mano e un faticoso divoramento di libri italiani sono riuscita a studiare perfino economia e commercio in Italia.
Ma questo, penso, sia stato più un piccolo contrattempo, visto che subito dopo ho fatto l’esame per traduttori ed interpreti.

Eh sì, e da allora lavoro in questo campo: ho iniziato da traduttrice, poi sono diventata insegnante di conversazione tedesca, di tedesco ed inglese………..pazzesco, no?

From birth to adulthood
You already know my name. Let’s turn a blind eye on my age. It’s only important that I was born in the Federal Republic of Germany of Italian parents. That means: grown up in Germany, I attended German schools only (until High School diploma), then an apprenticeship and eventually a job as an employee in the controlling department for one year.

My language education
Since I was a child, my „skilfulness“ in foreign languages has become clear. Although we spoke only the Abruzzi dialect at home, it was surprisingly easy for me to learn German, since nursery. To be honest, I got through quite well in this language, considering the fact that in 1986 I won the “Scheffelpreis”, a literature award for excellent knowledge in German language.
Then, year by year, I also learned English and French. This made me discover my passion for foreign languages. I even learned Italian (the official language) all by myself: armed with a German-Italian grammar book and thanks to a very hard study of Italian books, I even managed to graduate in trade and economics in Italy.
I suppose this was meant to be a kind of mistake, because two years later I passed the exam as translator and interpreter.

Well, since then I’ve been working in this field: I began as a translator and now I also teach German conversation, German and English………. really cool, isn’t it?
