• Reporting to the Finance Director for the Internet Data Centre start-up operation in Europe, responsibility included operational and capex financial planning & analysis across the European operations • Key responsibility included setting up reporting and analysis structure and models, including cost centre design for effective budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analyses. • Specific project - Business Lead for implementation of Oracle GL for Europe, working with a team of Accenture consultants

(Includes secondment in Milan in 1999 - see separate entry) • Analysis of business performance of country operating units within the EMEA region & providing general financial support to sales and marketing operations • Development of monthly reporting and key performance indicators across the EMEA region to ensure successful monitoring of performance against corporate strategy.

• Responsibility for improving the quality of key financial and operational indicators and development of local budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes, to ensure accurate and timely operational information from commercial personnel • Providing financial support to commercial functions to ensure achievement of strategic goals

Beverages Division (Watford, UK) • Finance support to commercial team for product launches in new markets, including costing and pricing of products, and optimisation of local franchise stock holding levels using Excel financial modelling • Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual budget

Schweppes/ San Benedetto Joint Venture (Paris & Avignon, France), • Implementation of business policies and processes to ensure an adequate level of financial control and efficient business processes for this new Joint Venture • Development and preparation of management accounts for each of the joint venture partners, to ensure that each of their reporting requirements were met, whilst minimising duplication of reporting

• Monitoring and reporting on the total project spend • SAP cost centre structures mangement for effective project expenditure reporting • Consolidation of project finances in UK & Russia and development of efficient reporting process with finance teams on factory site in Russia and the Moscow head office • Financing and Treasury: Monitoring and regulation of the total debt / equity ratio for the project • Preparation of statutory accounts

• Review and improvement of business processes and controls by encouraging best practice, efficiency improvement, compliance with Group policies, and evaluating the control environment • Completion of over 20 business process and financial audit assignments in Europe and Mexico
