Christopher Kinley

I was part of the legal and tax advisory team of the international legal and wealth services firm, advising on corporate, trust and regulatory matters for private, corporate and institutional clients, involving the laws of jurisdictions such as the Isle of Man, England and Wales, the British Virgin Islands and South Africa.

I worked in the large corporate team of a leading offshore law firm in its head office. My areas of practice included the Isle of Man legal aspects of international mergers and acquisitions and asset and project finance transactions, focusing on aviation and shipping finance. I also advised on financial services regulation, cross-border banking and corporate finance matters, as well as occasionally assisting with capital markets work and general non-contentious corporate, trust and partnership matters.

I trained and practised at a boutique law firm with an established international reputation in litigation, corporate and private client practice. I assisted with non-contentious international matters as Isle of Man correspondent counsel, and also gained experience in transaction planning and acting directly for international and domestic private clients. My focus was on company and partnership law, banking and corporate finance matters, immigration and residence, wills, trusts and estate planning.
