Juriaan van Meel

I am one of the co-founders and developers of BriefBuilder, which is a tool for briefing and requirements management in complex construction projects. Within the company, I am responsible for the tool's functional development, our academy and knowledge base, and our activities in Scandinavia. As a briefing consultant, I have been involved in construction projects in the Netherlands, Scandinavia, the US and the Middle East. Most these were office projects, but I have also worked on project briefs for hospitals, schools, labs, and even prisons : - ). Next to my practical work, I try to maintain a foothold in academia. I have a PhD from Delft University of Technology where I am still lecturing, as a guest, about the topic of briefing. I also try to find time to write about my area of expertise I have co-authored several books, including the Activity-Based Working Practice Guide (2020), Briefing for Buildings (2017), Workplaces Today (2015) and Planning Office Spaces (2010).
