I am currently working on the development of a framework to map the IT services in an IT service catalog. Once, the framework and its structure is developed and tested among a sample of heterogeneous services (e.g. application-based services, cloud-based services …), the framework can be populated across the whole organization. The main goals of an IT service catalog is 1) clear description of what IT does and delivers to business, 2) SLA/OLA definition, 3) rethink and optimize the current cost model.

The scope was to conduct a market entry analysis in Canada with the focus on assessing the company's competitors in order to make a strategic product positioning. Subsequently, a qualitative analysis of the distributors was elaborated together with a funnel model and decision criteria in order to analytically filter potential partners. The field work in Canada enabled Esti Chem AS to start negotiations with the determined distributors.
