Expertise in Scanning Transmission X-Ray Microscopy (STXM) and various polymer sample preparation. -Built a database of calibrated NEXAFS spectra of common polymers. -Pioneered quantitative abilities of STXM for applications to polymer system. -Investigated the phase segregation and compatibilisation phenomenon in multi-component polymer systems. -Studied the effect of mechanical confinement on freely standing polymer films.
