Research topic: investigation of the fluid-structure interaction between bacterial biofilms and fluid flow in pipelines. Kinetic characterization of ammonium and nitrite oxidizing bacteria, and more in particularly the inhibition by free ammonia and nitrous acid. I have oprated a number of bioreactors and conducted a large number of kinetic characteriazation tests with the cultivated biomass.
