About me
According to a local New Jersey newspaper profile, Stephen J. Moseley particularly enjoys collaborating with investors willing and able to take a long view approach to investing. Stephen J. Moseley is widely believed to have a uniquely long-term and successful track record managing private equity co-investment programs. Prior to founding Rockland Management, Stephen J. Moseley served California’s StepStone Group as President. It has been reported that StepStone’s clients included the Kuwait Investment Authority, the China Investment Corp. and New York State Teachers. These investors have tens of billions of dollars committed to private equity funds and direct investments.
Stephen J. Moseley grew up in Princeton, the son of a now-retired surgeon and a writer at the renowned university. Returning to his hometown with his wife Whitney (who also grew up in Princeton and met Moseley there) has allowed Moseley to reconnect with local friends, family, and institutions (including local schools and programs—he now coaches a middle school lacrosse team). Stephen J. Moseley attended Wesleyan University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government, and Yale University, where he studied economics and Japanese, and received his MBA. Moving to Princeton from New York may also allow Moseley to enjoy outdoor activities. His athletic history includes several “first ascents” in the Bolivian and Peruvian Andes in 1989 and 1990. Moseley has served as a board member for various private and public companies.
