    Topic - Development of an optical coherence tomography system using adaptive optics for reducing aberrations in laser material processing applications. • Identification of boundary conditions and requirements for the measuring system. • Development of a sensor concept using optical simulations (Zemax). • Transfer of the simulations to an opto-mechanical setup. • System integration into the LMD-w process. • Measurement process validation (Matlab). • Documentation of the work.

    Topic – Calibration and commissioning of the “L-shaped interferometer” LINT. • Identification of damaged optical components in all 7 interferometers in the system. • Two special types of metal structure had been designed and developed using AutoDesk Inventor to replace the damaged optical components in the setup. • Both oscilloscope and single element photodiode had been used to achieve optimum interferometric signal. • All 7 interferometers in the system had been validated using Matlab.
