Key achievement in the role is the successful roll out and implementation of a cross-functional integrated business planning process for North and Central Europe geography (NCE) of Air BP Business. Successfully lead the enitre NCE organization, including the Leadership Team to embrace an organizational change of managing the business through developing a forward looking performance outlook, and common view of the business risks and opportunities.

Responsible for identifying and delivering new business development opportunities, and for generating and implementing initiatives which improve Air BP's competitive position as a market leader. This included expansion into new markets such as Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Nordics. Lead the development and execution of the PU`s business development strategy based on planning, obtaining approval for and executing strategic projects in a number of different countries, including markets that are new to Air BP

Identify and execute joint fuel sourcing initiatives on behalf of Star Alliance member airlines through an agreed process Negotiate and drive through completion contractual arrangements for supply of aviation fuel for Star Alliance member airlines at various airports worldwide Manage and monitor fuel supply contracts and manage relationships with fuel suppliers Deliver annual savings in excess of $20 million from fuel initiatives

Developed business cases and established financial targets for identification and prioritisation of joint fuel sourcing initiatives to secure supply at competitive prices Facilitated and performed the gathering of relevant business and commercial data from Star Alliance member airlines, supplier and market information; performed required analysis of data Conducted special fuel market and cost studies Developed and conducted benchmarking on fuel risk management activities of Star Alliance member airlin

Actively participated and contributed to the establishment of a formal body – the Star Alliance Sourcing Board – for delivery of savings through joint sourcing initiatives. Provided sourcing support, project management and analytical work for multiple business and joint sourcing initiatives, specifically: Gathered and prioritized business requirements based on users needs

Responsible for purchasing of primary packaging materials for pharmaceuticals – specific activities included: Gathered and processed material requisitions from company’s factories Consolidated requisitions and prepared and sent out enquiries Performed evaluation of suppliers proposals and selection of main and alternative suppliers Prepared contracts and conducted supplier negotiations Issued and coordinated purchase orders, obtained and solved problems with invoices

Operated with SWIFT messaging system to generate outgoing and process incoming transfer payments to/from international financial institutions Prepared supporting documentation for issuing letters of credit to bank’s business clients

Received, registered and classified the incoming bank correspondence Gathered, registered and sent the outgoing official bank correspondence to business partners, national and international financial institutions Classified customer statements, SWIFT statements and payment documents
