About the Role
The Group Tax department of Springer Nature in Berlin, Germany is looking for a Corporate Tax Manager (m/f/d) who wants to join a motivated team in an international and innovative business environment. As a part of the Group Tax team, you will be responsible for Corporate Tax matters of our group companies. You can expect interesting and challenging tasks covering the entire range of Corporate Tax of a global publishing group.
Role Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for group companies in Corporate Tax matters
- You handle tax compliance together with our external tax advisors, e.g. preparation of tax returns and assisting in tax audits
- You determine income taxes according to IAS 12 for year-end tax reporting
- Collaboration in global tax planning and group reporting
- You take part in the development and implementation of measures to optimize the group tax rate
- You support in maintaining the group tax model
- You monitor tax relevant KPIs of the group
- Work on digitalization projects to make tax related processes more efficient
- You identify potential for automation and assist with implementing tax technology
- Involvement in multi-disciplinary projects, e.g. financing, reorganizations, M&A, Transfer Pricing
- Maintain relations with external (tax authorities and external advisors) and internal stakeholders (accounting, fi nance, controlling, legal)
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
- You have a completed university degree in business administration with a focus on Finance/Tax or comparable.
- You have at least 4 years of relevant professional experience with a tax advisory fi rm or in a corporate environment.
- You have a solid knowledge in Corporate Tax law.
- You work independently, are well organized and able to maintain a high quality of work.
- You are keen to develop innovative and practicable solutions within an increasingly complex (tax) environment.
- You enjoy working with numbers and analytical thinking.
- You have a very good knowledge of MS Office.
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written).
- A plus would be:
- A successfully completed tax advisor exam (Steuerberaterexamen)
- Confident in handling tools such as accounting-, tax- and reporting tools (e.g. SAP/S4, Hyperion Financial Management or similar) #LI-EP1
