The HZI is looking for an assistant (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.
As a member of the Helmholtz Association, the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, based in Braunschweig, conducts cutting-edge research in the field of infectious diseases. Our scientists develop novel methods and strategies to fight infectious diseases faster and more effectively. Our common goal is to develop novel approaches for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. Our research centres on bacterial and viral pathogens, their interaction with the human immune system and new effective agents and vaccines.
The Outreach & Fundraising Office acts as a central point of contact for the maintenance and further development of the alumni network and the development and implementation of a new fundraising strategy. As part of the development of the new office, we need an experienced assistant to support us.
- General secretarial and administrative tasks (scheduling appointments, processing mail and correspondence, following up and monitoring open business processes, organising business trips, filing)
- Outreach & fundraising administration (including information research, correspondence, support in maintaining the alumni network, support in compiling and sending out donation requests, organisation of events)
- Supporting the internet and intranet presence of the Outreach and Fundraising Office (also as intranet key user)
Administrative support for the Friends' Association including bookkeeping (e.g. correspondence, accounting, invoicing)
- Successfully completed vocational training in the commercial or administrative sector or comparable training
- Professional experience in a comparable position
- Confident and user-friendly IT skills (MS Office products)
- Reliability, diligence, improvement-orientation, independent and structured way of working
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Good English language skills (oral and written)
39 hours per week
