We are offering an exciting internship position where you will be at the forefront of technological developments in the field of medical network infrastructure and medical robot networking. As part of our team, you will be involved in developing and building a system to automatically measure the performance of the wireless networks in our experimental hybrid OR. Your task will include the implementation of an edge computing system to collect, store and graphically visualise network performance data. Another key aspect of your internship will be working on the networking and integration of an innovative medical robotics system. You will support the team not only in the technical realisation of the network connection, but also in the further development and construction of the medical robot itself.

What you will do
- Development and setup of a system for measuring network performance including database integration and visual processing of the data
- Implementation and testing of the solution on an edge computer running in parallel to other services
- Participation in the networking of a medical robot system in the OR and support in its development and setup
What you bring to the table
- Programming skills, ideally in C++
- Experience in network technology
- Solid basic knowledge of maths, mechanics and control engineering
- Independent, thorough and systematic way of working
- Completed basic studies in a STEM subject
