Your role
• maintain and support enhancement of records of personal data processing as required to comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations (incl. related transfer registries)
• create and keep reports up to date for data protection supervisory authorities as required under GDPR and other select privacy laws and to entity management
• perform DP Office assessments in case of personal data breach incidents, supporting notifications to data protection supervisory authorities as applicable
• monitor compliance of personal data processing with applicable data protection laws and UBS policies, assessing control design and operating effectiveness
• management and resolution of ad hoc issues and questions
Your team
The Group Data Protection Office is organizationally positioned with Group Compliance, Regulatory & Governance and is led by the Group Data Protection Officer (Group DPO). It has the mandate to ensure UBS' adherence to applicable data privacy and ethics requirements and to maintain the Data Protection as well as Data Ethics Policies and related Control Frameworks. The Group Data Protection Office is headquartered in Switzerland is comprised of a central team of SMEs and Local Data Protection Contacts ("LDPC") in Zurich, Frankfurt, Krakow, Luxembourg, Paris, London, Singapore, Shanghai, New York and Sao Paolo covering UBS locations globally. To fulfil its mandate, the Group Data Protection Office works closely with key stakeholders across the UBS organization.

Your expertise
• university degree (master), such as Data Analytics or Computer Science
• compliance, audit, or business analyst background with at least 8-10 years proven experience in data protection or related area, preferably in the financial industry with leading institutions, business consultancies or supervisory authorities
• advanced data analytical skill, combined with strong problem solving ability, capable of synthesizing and expressing complex issues into concrete outcomes
• excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• experience owning / managing tools used to produce regulatory reports highly desirable
• good knowledge of Privacy Laws and, the financial services industry desirable
• certification by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) a plus.
