Your role
Are you interested in contributing to the change of a truly global, diverse and fast changing environment? If yes, we are looking for someone like you to:
- work closely with a team of cross-media specialists, responsible for providing high class monitoring and sentiment analysis services of the print and online media coverage on UBS and the financial industry to senior management and Corporate Communications
- manage the daily media news flow by screening and sharing of news alerts and ensuring the relevance of the daily media monitoring products
- work on a daily basis with our external service provider to continuously develop and improve our media monitoring and media analysis capabilities
- build relationships with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and adapt the media monitoring products and analysis reports to their changing needs
- prepare comprehensive, visually appealing and management-ready reports and presentations that present data-driven insights, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trends related to media analysis
- work effectively with cross-functional teams to prepare recommendations and presentations for senior management
Your team
You will be working in the Media Analytics & Insights team, which sits within the C&B COO area in Zurich.
The small but experienced team monitor UBS’s traditional media environment to measure the success of the external communications activities.

Your expertise
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Statistics, Information Management, or a related field
- experience in corporate communications or journalism, ideally in the financial industry; experience in traditional media monitoring is a plus
- genuine interest in traditional media, with a focus on both understanding the key topics and developments in the financial industry and a familiarity with the Swiss and global media landscape
- a structured approach, together with an aptitude for reliability, flexibility, learning and growing
- ability to work independently, but also to collaborate with colleagues at all levels
- fluency in English (written and spoken); fluency in German and a basic understanding of other languages is a plus
- very strong MS office skills (PowerPoint and Excel in particular)
