Founded in 1992, the Gallery Voss has since then been working exclusively in the field of contemporary art and is chiefly dedicated to painting, photography and installations. The main photography artists are Giacomo Costa from Itay, Maria Friberg from Sweden, Claudia Rogge from Germany as well as Ivonne Thein. The artists Maia Naveriani from London (GB) and Masaharu Sato from Tokyo (JP), Mihoko Ogaki from Tokyo (JP) and Amparo Sard fom Spain work in the field of installations.
Participations in international art fairs include Art Amsterdam, Art Brussels, Art Cologne, Arte Fiera Bologna, Art Moscow, Photo Miami and The Solo Project in Basel (CH).
The field the painting is especially worked by Sandra Ackerman (D), Frank Bauer (D), Davide La Rocca (I), Harding Meyer (D), Kate Waters (CAN) and Veit Ferrer (D).
Until 2004 the gallery has worked primarily in the field of contemporary painting, with artists like Frank Bauer, Norbert Bisky, Harding Meyer and Kate Waters, which were then in some cases selected for the exhibition "German Painting 2003" in the Frankfurter Kunstverein. From 2002, the gallery work has increasingly devoted to photography. Here especially the Biennale artist Giacomo Costa (Venice Biennale 2009 / Italian Pavillion), Maria Friberg and Claudia Rogge to name, whose works are now in major private collections and museums.
