- Designed and built a linear robot to pick up and place unsoldered PCB board assemblies from one conveyor line to the next in Mecalc’s electronic assembly line. - Designed an automated PCB loading process using a 6-axis robot from Universal Robots. - Simulation of chemical fume extraction ducting to analyse and characterise its lack of performance. Later the same simulation model was used to optimize the performance.

- Designed and built a CNC plasma cutter. Wrote my own DXF-to-GCODE converter to control the plasma cutter and later also wrote a Graphical User Interface for the converter in MATLAB - Performed my master’s studies in the design, manufacturing and testing of a semi-active hydro-pneumatic suspension system that makes use of magneto-rheological fluid as a control substance.

As part of a 3 year long project called EVE, students at the Vehicle Dynamics Group had the opportunity to participate in staff exchanges. Myself and two other masters’ students had the opportunity to go to Tenneco for a month. We were tasked to find a software solution, using MATLAB, for the selection and stack-up of damper shims. I focused on the visual representation of the FEA results.
