I have always been passionate about technologies used to explore a different world, ruled by other laws, where I could find avatars hiding people. Many activities have been moved to this world (Cyberspace), involving people, enterprises, and criminal activities. Nowadays IT is the industry's new nervous system: business processes are digital, and if IT is not healthy and optimized, the entire organization is affected. In the digital transformation era, we need fast, reliable, secure, almost automated processes to scale and overcome the lack of resources. In the last 20 years, I helped managers to be aware of Cyberspace risks, designing together infrastructures, standard, automated, and secure processes. I'm not reinventing the wheel; I use my experience, a pragmatic approach, and standard Cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, IEC62443, GDPR): I bring value to people and enterprises, enhancing in-place technologies without complications. My free time is dedicated to people.

Network Automation Engineer
NTS Netzwerk Telekom Service AGI was dedicated to InfoCamere, migrating a legacy data center into Cisco ACI solution. My team had the responsibility to understand customer needs, design the solution, plan, test and execute the migration. Specifically I was responsible to develop the automation tools to be used to test and execute the migration plan. The same tools are nowadays used by the InfoCamere operation team on a daily basis to manage and monitor the infrastructure.

As a network and security architect, I had the responsibility for designing, maintaining, and securing IT infrastructures. During my tenure, my team implemented a disaster recovery plan, according to the management requirements. InfoCert was able to successfully test the disaster recovery plan by activating a remote site with near-zero RPO and a very short RTO.

In 2011 I was studying for my CCIE certification. I needed a tool to build portable labs. The available tools weren't stable enough so I developed mine using HP, Python, C, script Bash, Docker, jQuery, Bootstrap, and REST API. I released UNetLab under an OpenSource license and I had up to 1,500 users who work for companies such as Cisco, Vodafone, Italtel, Dell, IBM, HP, Accenture.
