Working on recommender systems for large scale data. I proposed a novel local similarity function for recommending new friendships in Tuenti Social Network. The similarity function takes the temporal information of the edge creation process into account. Experiments on Tuenti social network with more than 12 million users showed that this method significantly outperforms alternative link prediction methods.
