Intern (m/f/d) Network and Infrastructure Engineer
Rocket Factory Augsburg is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a motivated and tech-savvy student to join our diverse and agile IT team. As a Network and Infrastructure Intern, you will support our team in maintaining and improving critical IT infrastructure.
Your Tasks
- Assist in the setup, monitoring, and documentation of network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Learn how to troubleshoot basic network issues and support the optimization of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network performance.
- Support the IT team in managing virtualized environments (e.g., VMware) and storage systems.
- Help monitor infrastructure across multiple company locations and assist in documenting high availability and disaster recovery processes.
- Participate in Linux systems support and automation efforts under guidance.
- Create and update technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Provide support for IT requests related to networking, infrastructure, and connected systems.
Your Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A strong interest in networks, infrastructure, and system administration.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and IT infrastructure.
- Familiarity with or a desire to learn about VMware, Linux, or storage systems.
- Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
