What it's about
We are seeking a Compliance Officer to become part of our Compliance team at the Partners Group Headquarters in Zug. Candidates should have a solid background in regulatory compliance related to asset management and should be comfortable working independently with international and multi-disciplinary teams. The Swiss Compliance team is responsible for providing regulatory and policy advice, along with regulatory expertise to Partners Group’s teams in Switzerland while protecting the interests and reputation of Partners Group.
In your role you will be responsible for supporting Partners Group's Head of Compliance Switzerland, based in Zug as well as Partners Group's Global Heads of Compliance, located in Zug and London. Focusing on Swiss and European regulations, you will ensure that Partners Group complies with the applicable laws and regulations. You will be part of a global and diverse Compliance team in a highly dynamic environment of a fast-growing company of dedicated professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Ongoing maintenance of Partners Group's compliance monitoring program and risk assessment for Switzerland
- Maintaining compliance related systems and controls, and conducting investigations as needed
- Drafting and reviewing periodic compliance reports, directives and procedures
- Assisting in coordination of regulatory filings and reporting
- Engaging in various regulatory projects from the planning to the implementation (e.g. AIFMD II)
- Liaising with internal and external auditors, preparing necessary documentation for regulatory audits
- Advising on marketing activities and reviewing marketing materials
- Performing AML checks for Partners Group AG
- Staying updated with regulatory developments in Switzerland and Europe
- Degree in law, business administration, or finance with at least 3 years of relevant experience in compliance, legal or audit roles within the asset management industry.
- Entrepreneurial and analytical thinker with the ability to work independently and efficiently in dynamic settings; skilled in implementing processes and procedures successfully.
- Keen interest in utilizing new technologies to streamline compliance processes and workflows; eager to work with IT and business applications specialists to automate compliance related processes and workflows.
- Critical thinking and excellent communication skills in German and English (both written and verbal).
- Self-motivated person, fast learner with strong analytical, methodical, and problem-solving skills.
