System integration Engineer
Über diesen Job
Drive the energy transition by providing sustainable technological solutions through our digital platform, facilitating from planning to contract tendering to implementation of renewable energy systems in real estate and industrial companies. We enable our customers to increase the economic efficiency and CO2 balance of their properties while minimizing technical, commercial, and energy risks.
Tasks
- Implement and tune control logic for heating systems, batteries, and solar installations, based on predefined optimization models.
- Ensure reliable data flow between local systems, sensors, cloud platforms, and operational dashboards.
- Monitor control performance and adjust parameters to achieve efficiency, comfort, and cost objectives.
- Install, configure, and maintain control hardware and communication devices at customer or plant sites.
- Troubleshoot hardware, network, and system integration issues both remotely and on-site.
- Document configurations, testing results, and system changes to ensure high-quality operational records.
- Collaborate with engineers and quantitative analysts to refine optimization logic and address performance deviations.
Requirements
If you meet the following criteria, we encourage you to apply:
- Hardware Prototyping & Assembly: Proven experience in designing, assembling, and commissioning custom industrial hardware solutions (e.g., Edge Gateways, EMS controllers). You are comfortable working from the component level up to full DIN-rail enclosure builds.
- Embedded & Edge Development: Strong proficiency in programming for embedded or edge environments (e.g., Python, C/C++) on Linux-based systems, specifically for real-time data acquisition and device control.
- Industrial Communication Mastery: Deep technical knowledge of communication protocols, including Modbus (RTU/TCP), SunSpec, MQTT, and BACnet, with the ability to perform register-level mapping and debugging.
- Electrical Commissioning: Physically adept at on-site integration, including interpreting electrical schematics, performing high-quality wiring, and troubleshooting signal integrity between sensors, actuators, and controllers.
- Active Control Systems: Experience implementing closed-loop control logic and active command structures to optimize the performance of assets such as Heat Pumps (HP), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and PV Inverters.
- Technical Education: A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field, complemented by a "builder" mindset and a track record of successful physical deployments.
Benefits
- An attractive salary package and exciting development opportunities
- Further training in renewable energies and project management
- A dynamic, innovative environment with short decision-making processes and plenty of creative freedom
- The opportunity to play an active role in the energy transition and make a real impact
