The Position

At Roche, our Finance Centers of Excellence have led the way in breaking down silos, removing hierarchies, and adopting new approaches. We've learned from both successes and challenges, preparing us to address new silos' risks and build on our insights. Now, we aim to transition from a divisional/functional to an enterprise approach with an Enterprise Center of Excellence (eCoE).

The eCoE will focus on delivering financial expertise, innovative insights, and an entrepreneurial mindset to ensure agility and flexibility for stakeholders. It will serve as a talent hub for Finance, fostering capability and network building.

The three focus areas within the eCoE are:

• Planning, Analytics, and Insights

In this forward-thinking role, you will be a standing member of the standard costing global squad, and you will use your deep financial expertise and knowledge of the standard costing process, to be able to orchestrate, execute, monitor, validate, and judge the quality of e2e process outcomes in the Pharma (and Group) financials, understanding the complexity of the steps and the readiness of the data, and can judge if this is correct or not (technical-logical, by product, regardless of the system or tools). Inventory reporting and partnering with the supply chain organization will form a key component of your responsibilities. From an analytical and digital perspective, you, as part of the eCoE will play a role in building and developing models that would help to judge the accuracy and correctness of outcomes coming from the standards’ execution, and also, enhance the management reporting to integrate standard costing data into that.

Additionally, Team members will collaborate with Roche Services & Solutions, Finance Enterprise Partners, and the Business to manage core Finance processes, drive process simplification, and advance digital goals while ensuring business continuity.

Who you are

• Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a Business-related discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in Finance, in a global setting, with a notable emphasis on manufacturing and cost accounting business partnering.

• Strong understanding of standard costing principles and methodologies

• Digital savvyness and technical experience and strong understanding of SAP 4/H cost accounting/standard costing, and profitability analysis. Strong automation and process improvement skills.

• Good analytical skills with the ability to examine financial data, identify patterns, and draw conclusions

• A passion for change, simplification, and process improvement, as well as the ability to see through complexity and identify and remove waste

• Tech-savvy and out-of-the-box thinker to drive process innovation and improvement

• Resilience and the ability to adjust to a fast-changing environment and to promote and apply the VACC leadership principles

• Strong interpersonal skills as well as Entrepreneurial spirit for collaboration, influencing skills, and the ability to build trusting and productive relationships

• Ability to understand the business context and to apply judgment towards prioritization and decision-making; able to effectively balance and switch between high-level and details

• Fluent in English, showcasing an ability to operate seamlessly in a multicultural, data-rich environment, and good communication skills .
