The Position

As part of our Global Legal Pharma team at the Roche headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, you will participate in the development of innovative technologies, pharmaceutical products and solutions.

The Opportunity

• Legal advice and support to the Pharma Division in the areas of Research and Early Development as well as Product Development.

• Legal advice on a broad variety of matters including data privacy

• Drafting, assessment and negotiation of contracts

• Participation in negotiations, mainly in Switzerland

• Collaboration in interdisciplinary and international teams, with colleagues from the Research, Development, Patent, Procurement, Finance and Compliance functions.

• Cross functional collaboration with legal colleagues throughout the Roche Group to advise on legal matters

Who you are

You have a Master degree in Law (MLaw, lic.iur.), and admission to the bar. Any additional qualification is a plus. You need to be fluent in English, German is a plus. Besides, you bring the following qualifications:

• Several years of professional experience, significant exposure to contract drafting.

• Knowledge of data privacy law

• Intellectual property law is a plus

• Knowledge of new technologies

• Strong analytical and negotiating skills and assertiveness

• Ability to find creative and innovative solutions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – emotional intelligence, team player

• Results-orientated, independent and proactive self-starter with a high work ethic, always going the extra mile to deliver the highest support while operating with unwavering integrity
