About The Role:
As a Marketing Specialist, you will play a key role in driving the success of our marketing initiatives by coordinating and executing a variety of projects in close collaboration with our corporate marketing team and subject matter experts. This is a dynamic and multifaceted role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of marketing campaigns, events, and lead generation activities, while maintaining alignment across teams and ensuring consistent messaging. Your contributions will directly support our marketing goals and help us deliver impactful, high-quality programs.
This position reports to the Marketing Project Manager and is part of the Genedata Screener Business Unit located in the headquarters in Basel.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Support planning and execution of conferences and events
- Coordinate social media campaigns and initiatives
- Coordinate lead generation activities related to conferences and other initiatives, facilitating the capture and follow-up of potential leads
- Track and report on the progress of various marketing programs (social media, conferences, events)
- Ensure alignment across marketing activities while facilitating effective communication among cross-functional teams involved in program execution
The essential requirements of the job include:
- BSc or MSc degree in a life sciences discipline
- Proven experience (typically 1-3 years) in a marketing support role, project coordination, or administrative role within a marketing environment.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- The industries of SaaS B2B, or pharmaceutical R&D, or life sciences
- Hands-on knowledge of CRM systems and marketing automation systems like Salesforce and Pardot
