The Opportunity
The PT Network Safety Manager role is responsible for improving Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) outcomes by providing support to PT network sites and network SHE improvement initiatives.
The PT Network Safety Manager will have a focus on PTM sites in the EU/Asia) and will be based in the EU/Asia and work closely with the respective counterpart in NAM.
The PT Network Safety Manger serves as a business partner and regional point of contact with the designated SHE teams across the PTM and PTT/MSAT/PTD global network. The role will report into PTT (Global Engineering, MSAT & Sustainability).
The PT Network Safety Manager role is responsible for building strategic and operational capabilities across designated SHE teams, as well as developing and leading communities of practice/squads and centres of excellence. The position holder is accountable for the Safety improvement work across Sites, building on data/trends and defining the appropriate network-wide corrective & preventive measures in alignment with Site Heads/GMs of the respective entity.
Collaborate with PT network SHE officers and communities to establish and implement PT-specific initiatives aimed at simplification, standardization, and innovation to improve SHE performance and efficiency
Partner with Roche Group SHE business partners to achieve aligned, shared outcomes according to the global SHE strategy, ensuring consistency across the organization
Leverage in-depth business understanding combined with SHE expertise to drive forward initiatives critical to delivering the PT and SHE@Roche strategy, acting as Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach
Coordinate with PTM affiliates and monitor progress in relation to objectives and targets, including established Group goals and facilitating communication and support within the network
Build and participate in networks across and beyond the region to share best practices and co-create solutions that add value to PT and Roche. Support bi-annual Safety Board meetings with PT leadership to ensure visibility and accountability for safety topics
Collaborate with global PTM SHE Council sites in the EU/Asia to support the development and implementation of Safety Culture initiatives, such as SHE Microlearning Campaign, Learning from Events, Employee Recognition Program, and Management of Change (MoC) Initiative
Serve as a spokesperson and resource to PT leadership for SHE-related matters, including KPI performance, trend analysis, risk identification, and mitigation. Collaborate with other PTx functions on safety-specific topics to support continuous improvement in SHE performance
Who you are
Over 10 years of experience as a Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) professional in site and/or corporate environments. Holds a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as safety, engineering, chemistry, or other technical fields
Demonstrated ability to energetically lead and motivate cross-functional teams from diverse professional backgrounds and cultures to collaborate and achieve SHE objectives
Skilled in simplifying complex concepts and developing clear, actionable plans that meet SHE objectives and support the business needs of PT network sites
Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills, with proven ability to effectively communicate and influence senior leadership
Experience in managing high-risk physical safety programs such as Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), pressure safety, confined space entry, fall protection, electrical safety, chemical safety, and process safety
