Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a German-speaking Shipping and Finance Administrator to join a growing international business based in Basel.

This role offers a unique blend of Finance and Logistics responsibilities, supporting global shipment operations while ensuring financial accuracy and process improvements.

With a hybrid working model of three days in the Basel office and two days from home, this role provides both flexibility and international exposure.

Key responsibilities as Shipping and Finance Administrator include:

• Manage shipment preparation, customs/export documentation, and coordination with international logistics providers
• Enter and maintain customer contracts and sales orders in SAP, ensuring accuracy of terms and compliance with payment conditions
• Support Finance with order invoicing, receivables, and monthly sales reporting
• Act as a key link between internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery
• Develop tools and processes to track shipments, creating greater visibility and efficiency across the business
• Drive improvements in Finance and Logistics workflows to optimize performance and reliability

The ideal candidate profile:

• Background in Finance, Accounting, or order administration with exposure to logistics/shipping processes
• Strong SAP and MS Office skills, with proven ability to handle contracts and financial transactions accurately
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, comfortable working with stakeholders in Switzerland, the US, and globally
• Proactive, solutions-driven mindset with the ability to improve and streamline processes
• Knowledge of international import/export regulations and tariffs is an advantage
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
