Your seat to fill:

• Provide visionary leadership for CYBEX’s global engineering teams across Bayreuth, Vienna, Prague, Charlotte, and Kunshan
• Oversee all engineering departments—hard parts development , detailed engineering , mechatronics, industrial engineering, and manufacturing—ensuring excellence in each field
• Foster close collaboration across engineering functions to deliver fully integrated product development
• Lead high-impact, cross-category product development projects spanning Child Safety, Wheelgoods, and Home
• Shape the technical design of components and systems with a strong focus on functionality, cost-effectiveness, and ease of manufacturing
• Set, update, and uphold group-wide technical standards while continuously enhancing R&D processes, structures, and tools
• Inspire teams to challenge conventions, drive efficiency, and create robust, future-ready designs
• Champion the implementation of cutting-edge technology strategies, strategic partnerships, and sustainable product development initiatives
• Partner with procurement to select the most capable technical partners
• Stay ahead of industry trends, integrating relevant innovations into product development
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external engineers and designers to deliver innovative, market-ready solutions

Your stroll to CYBEX:

• Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related technical discipline; an advanced degree is a strong advantage. Experience in engineering consumer goods is highly desirable
• A proven history of building, scaling, and empowering high-performing engineering teams
• Several years of leadership experience in the metal and plastics industry, with a record of delivering exceptional results
• Deep expertise in mechanical engineering and product development
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial engineering principles
• Process-driven thinking with the ability to streamline and optimize workflows
• A strategic mindset paired with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
• Inspiring leadership that nurtures growth, collaboration, and innovation
• A high degree of initiative and ownership, with the ability to work seamlessly across functions
• Business-level fluency in English, both written and spoken
