Overview

As an AI & Full Stack Engineer (AI Engineering / Automation Engineering / System Architecture / Full-Stack Engineering with a focus on AI), you will work with us to develop an AI-first system that powers our entire organization like an operating system.

This system consists of:

• the frontend (AI-assisted, developed with Claude Code) where our PR managers work daily
• the management dashboard with planning, capacities and performance
• the customer interface , which displays results, data and AI-generated reports
• an agentic and workflow-based backend that intelligently connects systems (Supabase, vector databases, API flows, agents, AI models)

Your role

System Architecture & Ownership

• Full responsibility for the technical system (frontend & backend)
• Ownership of the system architecture and further development, including workflows, data structure, interfaces, compliance and tech stack (so far mainly Supabase, n8n, Make, Vercel, Perplexity, Azure OpenAI)

Frontend development (Next.js, React)

• Expansion and optimization of a modular internal frontend
• Developing AI-powered interfaces for all getpress stakeholders

Agent-based and workflow-based backend development

• Development and support of AI agents (e.g., for research, content processing, clipping analysis) via no- and low-code platforms such as make and n8n
• Building automated workflows & orchestrations
• API management and connection of all systems (HubSpot, Slack, Google, internal tools) via stable interfaces with monitoring and error handling.

Data management

• Building and maintaining a Supabase architecture including relational data and vector databases
• Integration with frontends, agents, and automations

Innovation & Scaling

• Observation of new models and tools
• Cost optimization & technical experimentation

Enablement & Documentation

• Documentation and technical coaching
• Know-how transfer to the operations team

In short: This role is for someone who thinks in terms of systems rather than individual features — who understands technology as an organizational principle and wants to use AI, data and code to set new standards for how agencies will work in the future.

Who you are

Do you come from a field like AI Engineering, Full-Stack Engineering, System Architecture, or Full-Stack Engineering with an AI focus? Perfect—this experience makes you the ideal candidate for our AI & Full Stack Engineer role .

Must-have:

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in full-stack development or comparable roles (deep understanding of software development)
• Tech Stack: Next.js, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Claude Code (with openness to cursors)
• AI & Automation: Practical (including extracurricular) experience with LLMs, vector databases, workflow orchestration, Azure/OpenAI API
• Data competence: Confident in SQL, API design, schema design, edge functions, query optimization
• Language: Fluent German (C1)
• Mindset: Ownership, pragmatic, systems thinking, structured, curious, DevOps: "You build it, you run it"

Nice-to-have:

• Langchain, Agentic systems
• n8n, make, supabase
• security monitoring (OAuth, RLS, GDPR)

• Architect of the tech layer: You are the central technical linchpin and help shape how getpress thinks about and uses technology.

Your framework with us:

• Salary: €60,000-€80,000 gross annually
• Vacation: 27 days -> 32 from year 2 -> unlimited from year 3

• Tech Stack: You are in charge here - so far we are working with Claude Code, but you are also welcome to use cursors.
