Business Development & Operations Lead

Berlin International College (BIC) supports international students on their journey into the German higher education system and we’re looking for you to join our dedicated team at our preparatory college in idyllic Treptower Park, right on the banks of the River Spree.
As Business Development & Operations Lead, you will work closely with the management team and act as a central interface between strategy, operations, and execution. You will support the continuous development of our business model, optimize operational processes, and provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.

Tasks
Strategy & Business Development
- Conduct market, customer, and competitor analyses
- Analyze target groups, leads, and campaign performance
- Support brand development, online presence, and content strategy initiatives
Operations Management
- Plan, manage, and continuously optimize operational processes
- Improve workflows, structures, and quality assurance measures
- Oversee inventory, equipment, and operational resources
Reporting & Controlling
- Prepare regular reports on business, project, and operational performance
- Create decision-ready analyses and recommendations for the management team
- Analyze operational and financial data to improve efficiency and profitability
Team & Interface Coordination
- Assist with the implementation of new processes, structures, and tools
- Provide training, guidance, and operational support where needed
- Support the coordination of external service providers
Requirements
- University degree or comparable qualification, ideally in business administration, economics, or a related field
- Several years of experience in business development, operations, or a similar role in higher education
- Strong analytical skills and experience with business cases, reporting, and KPIs
- Solid technical affinity, including hands-on experience or the willingness to work with tools (such as Google Ads and Google Analytics, CRMs)
- Structured, hands-on working style with a high level of ownership
- Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and interfaces
- Fluent in German & very good command of English
