Why this role matters
At JOIN, we believe hiring should be easy, fast, and fair – for companies and candidates alike. That’s why we’re building intuitive, powerful recruiting software that helps businesses of all sizes find the right people effortlessly.
As our DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening the reliability, scalability, and security of our platform.
Tasks
What you’ll be doing
Your work will directly strengthen the reliability, security, and scalability of the platform that powers hiring for thousands of companies. Here’s what that looks like:
- Operate, maintain, and continuously improve our Google Cloud–based infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters.
- Build, manage, and evolve our Infrastructure-as-Code setup using Terraform and Terramate.
- Enhance and automate CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed, reliability, and developer experience.
- Improve monitoring, observability, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana) to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and post-mortems, helping to create a stable and resilient platform.
- Contribute to security and compliance improvements, including ISO27001-related automation and best practices.
- Drive operational excellence through automation, documentation, and continuous improvement of workflows.
- Collaborate closely with backend teams to design resilient, scalable services and deployment architectures.
- Identify system bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunities — and help implement meaningful solutions.
Who you’ll work with
You’ll join our Platform Engineering team and collaborate closely with backend, product, and engineering teams across Europe. Your work will play a key role in strengthening JOIN’s infrastructure, reducing operational risk, and enabling our engineers to ship reliable, secure software at scale.

✔ Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
✔ Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
✔ Good knowledge of networking, Linux systems, and system design fundamentals.
✔ Experience contributing to security, reliability, or compliance improvements (e.g., ISO27001).
✔ Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to stay calm during live incidents.
✔ Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering teams.
✔ A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
Bonus points for:
- Experience with Helm or other Kubernetes tooling.
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices, vulnerability scanning, or secrets management.
- Familiarity with SOC2/ISO27001 audits or security automation.
- Experience working in high-availability SaaS environments.
- Knowledge of SQL databases or distributed systems concepts.
