About the Role We are looking for an Embedded Software Developer to join a highly skilled engineering team working on mission-critical audio and VoIP communication systems for advanced tactical radio devices.
You will be part of an agile development environment , contributing to the full software lifecycle of embedded Linux-based systems used in secure and safety-relevant communication scenarios. This role offers excellent long-term prospects , with multiple follow-up projects planned beyond the initial contract.

Your Responsibilities
- Specification, design, and development of embedded software for complex hardware devices
- Participation in requirements analysis and overall system and device architecture
- Technical ownership of work packages and coordination with software, firmware, and hardware teams
- Implementation, integration, testing, and debugging of software modules in a CI/CD environment
- Functional testing directly on embedded devices
- Active collaboration within a cross-functional agile development team
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Technical Informatics , or a comparable field
- Strong hands-on experience in embedded software development , ideally using C/C and Python
- Solid knowledge of embedded Linux environments

Experience with common development tools and technologies such as:
- Git
- systemd
- D-Bus
- CMake
- Familiarity with communication protocols , agile methodologies, and software quality assurance
- Experience working in safety-critical or security-sensitive environments
- Background in audio, VoIP, or real-time communication systems
- German: Fluent (C1 level required)
- English: Basic working knowledge
- Work on cutting-edge embedded communication technology used in critical environments
- High level of technical ownership and responsibility
- Hybrid working model with up to 60% remote work
- Strong likelihood of contract extension and long-term project continuity
