Intro
ENWAY, a Bucher Municipal company based in Berlin, develops autonomous solutions for street cleaning vehicles. We focus on converting conventional street sweepers into autonomous machines through advanced robotics and software engineering.
Bucher Municipal AG is a world-leading manufacturer of municipal vehicles for the efficient cleaning of public and private traffic areas. Our product portfolio includes sweepers, sewer cleaning vehicles, winter maintenance equipment, refuse collection vehicles, and digital services. At our Niederweningen site in Switzerland, we develop compact sweepers and distribute them worldwide.
Tasks
- Create software requirement specifications, software design documents, and test protocols
- Develop and test software for sweeper control systems, operator terminals, and safety applications such as electric vehicle drive controls
- Evaluate and integrate control modules, operator panels, and toolchains
- Design and develop hydraulic and electrical system concepts
- Take ownership of subprojects and coordinate with project management
- Collaborate across disciplines and support related departments including assembly, customer service, and technical documentation
Requirements
Education & Background
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Software Engineering, or a related field
- Solid foundation in electrical engineering, ideally with experience in automotive or mobile machinery industries
Technical Skills
- Proven experience in software development for control systems, embedded applications, and operator interfaces
- Strong knowledge of measurement and control technology
- Programming experience in C
- Familiarity with CAN bus systems and related communication protocols
- Understanding of hydraulic and electric drive systems
Soft Skills
- Analytical thinker with a structured and solution-oriented approach
- Strong team player with good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in an interdisciplinary environment
- Good command of English (spoken and written); German is a plus
Other Requirements
- Ability to work on-site in Berlin
- Willingness to regularly travel to Switzerland, depending on project needs (20 - 50%)
Nice to Have
- Experience with embedded development for vehicles or mobile machinery
- Familiarity with functional safety (ISO 13849 / ISO 26262) or model-based development
- Experience with testing tools, version control systems (e.g. Git), or continuous integration environments
