Job Overview

Our engineering teams build and enhance Solactive’s indexing platform, which calculates and manages tens of thousands of financial indices and portfolios in real time for clients worldwide. You will join our Index Data & Reporting Team, responsible for tailoring and distributing calculation results, business and regulatory data to clients and data vendors. The team’s mission is to automate data-distribution workflows and provide a high degree of self-service for our business units and clients.

Your Tasks

As Engineering Manager, you will lead a group of technical specialists, working closely with stakeholders, partner teams and senior management. You will set the roadmap, ensure on-time, high-quality delivery, refine processes and coach team members so each can reach full potential. Although you will occasionally be hands-on, your primary focus is to guide the team, uphold technical excellence and best practices, and foster effective collaboration.

Your Profile

• At least 10 years of software-engineering experience, with recent, active coding work in the past few years.
• Previous success as an engineering manager is a plus—provided you have stayed hands-on and continued to ship production code yourself.
• You enjoy working closely with stakeholders to fully understand the business and to effectively drive the team’s mission.
• You can navigate the organisation and manage cross-team projects.
• You combine strong analytical thinking with a proactive, well-structured working style.
• You communicate clearly—even in tough conversations—and steer them to productive outcomes.
• You enjoy helping your team grow and succeed.
