As a Financial Data Scientist at Siemens Energy, you will be part of an innovative team dedicated to transforming financial operations within the Grid Technologies business. Your mission is to develop scalable, production-ready AI solutions that create measurable business impact beyond mere prototypes.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

• AI-Driven Finance Optimization: Design and implement predictive models and intelligent systems to enhance forecasting accuracy, improve decision-making, and increase operational efficiency.
• Data Product Development: Create robust and maintainable AI solutions that seamlessly integrate into existing finance systems and workflows, ensuring long-term usability.
• End-to-End Ownership: Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to design secure data pipelines and successfully deploy models into production environments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between finance, data, and technology teams to co-create impactful solutions that align with business objectives.
• Community & Enablement: Share best practices, mentor colleagues, and actively contribute to internal initiatives aimed at fostering AI knowledge and adoption across the organization.

What You Bring

• Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven track record in developing, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML models in production, with a focus on time series forecasting and predictive analytics.
• Technical Skills: Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn), and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake Cloud).
• Mindset: Strategic thinker with the ability to align AI initiatives with overarching business goals.
• Language Skills: Business fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus
