The FP&A Manager at AMBOSS plays a crucial role in guiding our financial planning and analysis activities, driving strategic decision-making, and providing insights that enhance our company's financial performance. Drawing upon your experience in financial management, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial goals are met and long-term business strategies are effectively supported. The primary objectives of this role are to drive financial excel.
You will:
Support the annual budgeting process, regular forecasting, and long-term financial planning
Analyze financial performance against targets, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities, and translating findings into clear, actionable insights
Build financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate business initiatives and support planning decisions
Partner with business units and department leads to understand performance drivers and help align financial plans with operational goals
Provide financial insights to support decision-making across the organization, acting as a reliable point of contact for finance-related topics
Strengthen collaboration with stakeholders to improve financial transparency, information flow, and planning processes
You bring:
A strong academic background in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Business Informatics, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in FP&A, business analytics, consulting, or a similar role in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of SaaS business models , unit economics, and common growth metrics
Advanced spreadsheet skills (especially Google Sheets), including complex formulas, and confidence working with data; experience with BI tools, SQL, or planning/reporting systems is a plus
An analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex data into clear insights that support decision-making
Clear and structured communication skills , with the ability to explain financial topics to non-finance stakeholders
A well-organized and reliable self-starter , able to proactively take ownership of tasks and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
A collaborative approach and a pragmatic, hands-on attitude
Curiosity about the product, customers, and market, and a motivation to continuously learn and grow
You enjoy:

Building financial models and scenarios that bring clarity to complex business questions
Partnering with stakeholders across teams to understand what drives performance and translating that into robust financial plans
Creating structure in ambiguity and improving planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
Diving deep into SaaS metrics, unit economics, and growth drivers to uncover risks and opportunities
Balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on execution - switching seamlessly between strategy discussions and spreadsheet work
