Channel Applications
Corporate Bank Technology has embarked on a multi-year technology refresh program that includes revitalization of "Channel" applications for payment initiation. You will be working on driving the development of global payment initiation platform that has React based micro frontends backed by Java powered micro-services deployed in a containerized environment. The platform uses event streaming over Kafka and varied datastores such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, HBase, MongoDB amongst other open-source software. You'll collaborate with other engineers on the platform embracing agile practices to incrementally add functionality to the platform, with a sharp focus on automation. You will partner with business and technology managers to define modules and enhancements to the application stack that provides Deutsche Bank's clients ability to initiate payments in real time and access to their account balances & statements in near real time. You will enable the digital environment that helps our people share their knowledge, expertise, and real passion for our business. Your key responsibilities
Design and develop new functionality on Java. Frontend/Full-stack development is a plus
Partner with UI/UX Design Team, Architects, Business Analysts, and Stakeholders situated in multiple regions and time-zones; at varying capacity to understand requirements
Be ready to learn and dig into details of corporate bank cash business to grow as subject matter expert
Design and implement subsystems and intersystem protocols, drive longer-term platform architectural vision
Design and setup test automation approaches from scratch and improve existing processes/approaches together with QA team
Maintain hygiene, risk, control, and stability at the core of every delivery. Investigate and fix production incidents, drive stability and monitoring improvements
Your skills and experiences
Several years of experience developing Java based Microservices (preferably using Spring Boot framework)
Proven track record in high-load distributed system design and fault tolerant applications, algorithms
Working with non-relation datastores such as MongoDB, HBase and relational datastore such as Oracle
Knowledge of Linux, understanding and experience of containers and cloud solutions
Frontend development experience using React JS, TypeScript, CSS, Node.JS and Redux is a plus
People leadership experience is a plus
Experience with modern SDLC tools (Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity) and project management is a plus
