Lead Cloud Engineer (f/m/x) – CB Data / AI Integration Services

with deep hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a strong background in AI/ML technologies to lead the technical design, architecture, and delivery of scalable, secure, and production-grade infrastructure. This role is ideal for experienced engineers who combine strategic product thinking with technical execution, and who thrive in fast-paced, regulated environments.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping cloud-native ecosystem, driving DevOps excellence, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver robust, automated, and compliant solutions that support the full lifecycle of AI/ML products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure infrastructure on GCP using services like GKE, Cloud Functions, Vertex AI, and more.

• Drive infrastructure-as-code development with Terraform and implement automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and workflows.

• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and consistency across API platforms and AI/ML solutions.

• Contribute hands-on to the development of APIs and microservices using Python or Java.

• Apply design patterns and architecture principles to build reusable, resilient, and scalable systems.

• Automate operational workflows, enhance observability, and support incident response and root cause analysis.

• Develop and maintain reusable modules, templates, and tools to accelerate infrastructure and platform delivery.

• Champion best practices for AI/ML infrastructure, including model training, deployment, monitoring, and governance using tools such as Vertex AI, Kubeflow, and MLflow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Several years of experience in cloud engineering, product development, and DevOps roles.

• Proven track record of designing and operating production systems on cloud platforms (GCP preferred).

• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Go, with a focus on automation and scripting.

• Deep understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, and compliance in regulated environments.

• Hands-on experience with AI/ML workflows and tools, including Vertex AI, MLflow, or similar services.
