The opportunity
:
This is a pivotal leadership role with the opportunity to build and shape our digital consulting business in Germany. You will move beyond project delivery to define strategy, drive business growth, and mentor a high-performing team of innovators.
You will have the autonomy to steer the application of emerging technologies like AI, digital twins, and data analytics, leading engagements with major industrial clients and positioning Arup as the go-to partner for digital transformation in the built environment. This is your chance to create a lasting impact, backed by a global network of experts but with the freedom to pioneer new approaches in a key market
.
As a Lead Digital Consultant at Arup, you will:
Lead and deliver complex digital consulting engagements across the built environment and construction sectors, from strategy through to implementation.
Provide strategic advice to senior clients on digital transformation, data analytics, and the application of emerging technologies to solve their business challenges.
Drive client acquisition and business development, taking full accountability for securing new consulting contracts and expanding our engagements with industrial and corporate clients.
Grow and manage key client relationships, particularly with large corporate and industrial organisations, acting as their trusted advisor.
Act as the digital lead on major proposals and bids, shaping our commercial strategy and technical value proposition.
Drive the development and application of AI and data-driven solutions at the regional level.
Lead and mentor multidisciplinary consulting and engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and client focus.
Represent Arup at high-profile industry forums, contributing to thought leadership and enhancing our brand reputation in the digital space.
Does this role inspire you?
We're looking for a passionate leader to drive digital transformation and apply advanced technologies to solve real-world challenges in the built environment. We also value:
A minimum of 10 years' proven experience in consulting or technical project delivery in digital innovation, ideally within the built environment or adjacent industries.
A strong commercial track record with experience leading bids, securing contracts, and expanding consulting services, particularly with industrial and large corporate clients.
Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring consulting or technical teams on large, complex digital projects, with a relentless focus on client value.
Proven ability to apply AI and advanced digital technologies (such as BIM, digital twins, IoT, and data platforms) to deliver tangible business and operational impact.
Strong client-facing skills with the ability to advise, influence, and build trusted relationships with senior executives.
Experience working with multinationals in the Science, Industry, and Technology (SIT) sector is a significant advantage.
