We are a leading global e-commerce retail company , part of an established group dedicated to providing exceptional online shopping experiences. We are seeking an accomplished, highly-experienced Lead MuleSoft Developer / Architect to drive the strategic development of our integration landscape.
This role is for a proven leader who can not only design, implement, and govern complex integration solutions but also mentor a team and define enterprise-level API-led connectivity standards. Key Responsibilities & Leadership
As the Lead MuleSoft Developer / Architect, you will be responsible for setting technical direction, ensuring governance, and mentoring the development team to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient integration solutions.
Architectural Governance & Strategy
- API-Led Connectivity: Define, champion, and enforce the API-led connectivity architectural blueprint across all layers (System, Process, Experience) for global integration projects.
- Solution Design & Review: Lead the technical design, documentation, and code review processes for complex integrations to ensure adherence to architectural standards, performance, and security policies.
- Technical Roadmapping: Collaborate directly with Enterprise Architects and business stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into a phased, scalable MuleSoft implementation roadmap .
- Performance & Resilience: Architect and implement high-availability, low-latency integration solutions, establishing monitoring, logging, and performance optimization strategies across the Anypoint Platform.
Technical Delivery & Mentorship
- Advanced Development: Design, develop, and implement highly robust and reliable APIs and integration solutions using Mule 4.x .
- Team Leadership & Mentoring: Act as the technical escalation point for the development team, providing hands-on guidance, fostering best practices, and mentoring junior and senior developers.
- Security Implementation: Own the implementation and maintenance of advanced security protocols ( OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL/TLS ) to ensure data protection and regulatory compliance within the integration layers.
- Testing & CI/CD: Lead the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks ( MUnit ) and define seamless CI/CD pipeline workflows to ensure continuous, defect-free delivery.
️ Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Certification: MuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD) Level 1 is required; MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect (MCPA) or Integration Architect (MCIA) is highly preferred.
- Architectural Expertise: Deep, demonstrable expertise in API-led connectivity and microservices architecture.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert proficiency in Mule 4.x, DataWeave 2.0 , and experience integrating with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, ERPs, Messaging Queues).
- Software Engineering: Proven background in core development concepts, preferably with Java or a related object-oriented language, used for custom Mule components.
- Methodology: Strong experience leading projects within an Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of effectively conveying technical vision and strategy to both technical and non-technical executive stakeholders.
