In Cash Data domain we are working every day to help our corporate clients run their business smoothly. The clients that are using and benefiting from the results of our work are well-known multinational corporates, many of which you know and use their products. The products we provide to clients are sight deposits, overdrafts, intraday credit-facilities, term deposits and off-balance sheet investments. Those products help clients to make payments to their employees, suppliers, and achieve their cash management goals.

As a Lead Scala Engineer (f/m/x) you'll be part of a team building a strategic data platform that consolidates terabytes of data from 50+ systems. This data is then distributed in a unified way to systems supporting mission-critical business use cases across the bank. We have both end of day batch use cases with strict SLAs and near-real-time intraday processing. This data must be of the highest quality and available in a timely manner across multiple strategic interfaces: Kafka, REST API, BigQuery, GCS.

Your key responsibilities:

• Lead and own full cycle of business deliveries: solution design, hands-on implementation, production rollout, support onboarding and communication with stakeholders.

• Work on a hybrid data platform combining Google Cloud stack (DataProc/Spark, BigQuery, GCS, etc.), on-premises Hadoop stack and Java/Kotlin microservices

• Work regularly with Terraform infrastructure code and CI/CD pipelines.

• Participate in code reviews, providing feedback, ensuring high code quality. Maintain and improve project documentation / perform knowledge sharing across teams.

Your skills and experiences:

• Strong hands-on expertise in Scala/Spark and Java/Kotlin, along with strong SQL knowledge.

• Extensive experience in design and development of scalable, available, resilient, and observable large scale data processing applications

• Experience in system performance analysis and tuning.

• Knowledge of Terraform is a big plus.

• Strong communication skills, written and spoken English.
