The introduction of Charité's new hospital information system (HIS) is an exciting and highly complex project that plays a key role in the digital transformation of patient care. The new HIS will improve the quality of treatment and meet the demands of Charité staff for modern digital support for their work - in line with the Charité Strategy 2030. Job overview
- You develop and coordinate migration strategies as well as detailed migration plans together with stakeholders
- You analyze source and target systems, identify inconsistencies, and carry out targeted data cleansing
- You take full responsibility for managing and successfully implementing migrations to data center or cloud infrastructures
- By creating migration concepts and applying strategic planning, you ensure smooth execution of mapping tests and maintain data integrity
- Throughout the entire migration process, you support and advise end users on both technical and content-related issues
- You plan and execute data migration projects, from integration to validation of the data
- You document the data to be migrated in a strategic and governance-compliant manner
We are looking for
- You have completed a scientific master’s or diploma degree in a STEM field or a comparable area, alternatively, you bring several years of relevant professional experience
- You’ve already gained experience in leading and managing complex, cross-system data migration projects
- Your expertise in data mapping, modeling, and validation ensures high data quality and integrity, you reliably identify and resolve semantic inconsistencies
- With your strong knowledge of ETL tools and processes, you implement data migrations efficiently and in a structured manner
- Automating migration processes comes easily to you, for example using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- You handle technical issues with confidence and have solid experience in troubleshooting and IT service management during migration phases
- You communicate confidently in German and English (at least B2 level each)

Job information
- Pay grade E13 TVöD VKA-K. The classification is based on qualifications, the respective experience level is calculated on the basis of the number of years worked. You can find the collective agreement here .
- The weekly working time is possible from 20 to 38.5 hours. Please let us know how many hours you would like to work.
- 30 days of vacation are standard with us
