Für unseren Kunden in Berlin suchen wir ab sofort einen Product Portfolio Lead Architect (m/w/d) für die voraussichtliche Dauer von 3 Monate + Option auf Verlängerung.

Ihre Aufgaben:

- Own the architecture for core components of the Compute Product Portfolio, including:

- Virtual Compute platforms (e.g., vCenter, hypervisors)

- OS Image Lifecycle Management

- Container management environments (e.g., Rancher)

- Translate product specifications and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture designs.

- Lead architecture development and decision-making from ideation through implementation.

- Short-Term Target: Design the architecture for a scalable and secure OS Image Lifecycle Management solution.

- Mid-Term Target: Architect the replacement of VMware with KVM, ensuring compatibility, performance, and security.

- Contribute to roadmap planning and product evolution by identifying key architectural enablers and risks.

- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Delivery, and fellow architects to ensure architectural consistency and alignment with product strategy.

- Participate in technical alignment forums and cross-team design sessions to ensure coherent platform evolution.

- Maintain regular communication with the Product Line Architect to escalate risks, ensure compliance, and drive architectural improvements.

- Serve as a senior technical authority, providing direction to engineering teams during design, development, and delivery.

- Ensure that architectural decisions adhere to security best practices, platform governance, and observability standards.

- Actively review the technical health of components and propose enhancements or refactoring where needed.

- Prioritize and organize architectural work based on complexity, dependencies, and business impact.

- Track and communicate the status of architectural deliverables, proactively identifying and resolving blockers.

- Independently seek out required information and contacts to drive progress and resolve ambiguities in line with project expectations.

- Validate architectural implementations regularly to ensure conformance to design and evolving requirements.

- Promote architectural best practices across teams and contribute to developing internal architecture standards.

- Actively monitor trends and innovations in compute, virtualization, and container technologies to inform future strategy.

Ihre Anforderungen:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

- 7–10 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, software architecture, or platform engineering.

- In-depth Experience in Modular/Distributed Software as well as Highly Available Systems Architecture.

- Experience in Linux & Containers: OS management, Kubernetes.

- Understanding of REST APIs, data modeling (relational, document, graph).

- Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM).

- Strong understanding of networking concepts (VXLAN / VLAN / VRF/ BGP).

- Solid understanding of K8s concepts (namespaces, services, deployments, ingress) and surrounding technologies (e.g. service mesh).

- Know-how in Authentication and authorization (IAM, OAuth, OIDC).

- Understanding of Observability concepts (logs, metrics, traces etc.).

- Technology skills in Dell and HPE.

- Fluent English in speech and writing (at least C1)

- Certifications in architecture, cloud infrastructure, or security (e.g. TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP certifications) are an advantage.

- Understanding of Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
